An architect by trade, Brazilian fashion designer Lana Junqueira Neumeyer’s collection is full of vibrant colors with plenty of movement. Lana has been interested in design from a very early age and becoming a fashion designer was a natural fit.

Lana uses beautiful original Brazilian fabric such as Chita (shee-tah), with a lot of flowers and birds, to create an endless summer style.

Lana Neumeyer utilizes burlap, pure silk hand painted, satins, laces, taffeta and tulle with Chita 100% cotton, giving her pieces body and a unique feel.

A “Hat Lover” herself, Lana always adds unique hats, flowers and jewelry to complement her designs. Considered a new version of “Carmen Miranda” by many, Lana thrives with colors, platform heels, feathers and sequins.

Living in Pittsburgh for over 20 years, Lana has been very active with several local charities. Neumeyer has hosted many charity functions in Brazil, Pittsburgh and Atlanta through “Dreams Can Be”,  which benefits homeless children in Brazil, as well as local events such as MadCap Masquerade, Local Motion, Unleashed, Cirque Noir, 2009 G20 Summit  Pittsburgh Fashion Show, The Art Center 2009 (Butler PA), Garden and Hat Party 2010(Pittsburgh Opera), special guest designer on La Dolce Vita-Pittsburgh Art Institute 2010 and also active in the “Catadores de Papel Association”, a Brazilian paper recycling organization lead by the homeless who collect the recyclable materials.
